Geared towards ages 5-8 (siblings welcome).
Objective: Understand the composition of ocean water, explore the factors that make it salty, and learn about buoyancy and its significance for marine life.
Class Content:
- Introduction to ocean water and its unique characteristics.
- Explanation of why the ocean is salty.
- Introduction to density and buoyancy
- Salt water vs fresh water investigation.
- Exploration of buoyancy through various objects and substances.
- Explanation and exploration of how swim bladders help fish control their buoyancy.
- Create an ocean scene
